The Tower of London
With its picturesque Yeoman Warders ('Beefeaters') and 900-year history, this is one of a kind. See the White Tower, a keep built by William the Conqueror to subdue London. The Traitors' Gate, through which prisoners were brought to their doom. The Bloody Tower, where the young Princes were reputedly smothered by their wicked uncle, Richard III, a murder that has never been satisfactorily solved...

St Paul's Cathedral
Sir Christopher Wren's masterpiece, was built on the site of an ancient cathedral destroyed in the Great Fire of 1666. Our heroes – like Nelson and Wellington – have been buried there. Prince Charles married Lady Diana Spencer there. The huge events – tragic and joyful – of our history have been commemorated there. The Cathedral stood as an icon of permanence as London burned around it during the Blitz.
