Stratford and Warwick
Up to 10 hours
Driving from London to Stratford-upon-Avon, you'll pass through some of the Costwolds' prettiest countryside and most charming villages. In Stratford itself you can see the house in which William Shakespeare was born, the church in which he is buried, his long-suffering wife's cottage and many other places associated with the Bard. Then onwards to Warwick Castle, one of our most exciting, which has fantastic exhibitions showing what mediaeval life within its walls would have been like for masters and servants.

How about a relaxing day touring the beautiful Cotswolds, with nothing more demanding than taking photos, enjoying lunch and tea, and browsing the area's superb antiques shops? Sounds blissful, doesn't it?! We'll take you to sleepy villages (like the inauspiciously-named Lower Slaughter!) and ancient market towns (like Stow-on-the-Wold), and show you wonderful landscapes and charming houses built of warm, yellow Cotswold stone.
