North Wales
The north of Wales is a land of mountains and castles, Fabulous! Let's start at Penhryn Castle, which looks like a traditional 12th-Century Norman Castle, but is really a comfortable 19th-Century home built for an eccentric millionaire. Then we can visit the delightfully delapidated Victorian resort of Llandudno to be charmed by its quirkiness. Onward via Caernarfon Castle to Portmeirion, the Italianate village designed in the last century by architect Clough Williams Ellis, where the iconic TV show The Prisoner was filmed.
South Wales
The south is more industrial and gently rural. We can start with a tour of the Museum of Welsh Life in St. Fagan's or Cardiff Castle and then head off into the Brecon Beacons National Park to follow the RIver Wye through the stunning scenery beloved of the romantic poets and artists of the lat 18th and early 19th centuries. We can wander the evocative ruins of Tintern Abbey and return along the coast.
Wales is a varied and fascinating Principality, with far more to offer than we can cover here. For more information on options, charges and booking please contact us
