A Taste of Yorkshire

Cross the heather-clad moors of Swaledale and Wensleydale to York and visit the famous Minster, then take a walk round the ancient city walls and the bustling "Shambles" – for a spot of shopping. Travel through the Yorkshire Dales National Park, via the ancient market town of Sedbergh, to Hawes, in the high fells, where you can enjoy the Dales Countryside Museum and buy some Wensleydale cheese before going on to Hardraw Force waterfall and the spectacular Buttertubs Pass. Then to medieval Richmond: a typically English market town, it has the largest cobbled market square in England and a magnificent 11th-century castle.

Yorkshire Towns
From the beauties of Yorkshire's countryside to the fascination of its industrial and artistic heritage... A trip to Bradford can include visits to the Industrial Museum, set in an historic textile mill, and the National Museum of Photography, Film and Television, which is brilliantly interactive. Nearby Saltaire houses a "model village" built for 19th-century millworkers, and a magnificent collection of local boy David Hockney's art. In newly-trendy Leeds you can enjoy the Royal Armouries and the Thackeray Medical Museum as well as a shopping blitz on Harvey Nichols, and Halifax is home to the fab Eureka Museum, a wonderful hands-on experience for young kids.

We also offer tours of Brontë Country, Heartbeat Country, Cathedrals and Abbeys, James Herriot's Yorkshire and the City of York with Castle Howard. For more information on options, charges and booking please contact us
